A Celebration of International Sport
As part of a vibrant global community, ACS Cobham students have the unique opportunity to participate in prestigious international sporting events, competing alongside peers from schools around the world. From the World School Games in Dubai to the World School Basketball Championships in Valencia, these experiences not only showcase athletic excellence but also highlight the spirit of camaraderie and cultural exchange that comes with being part of an international school.
Basketball Championships
The World School Basketball Championships is an international tournament organised by the World School Games Event Series, bringing together school teams from around the globe. This year, the ACS Cobham Cougars made history when the Varsity Girls basketball team won the World School Basketball Championships in Valencia for the first time! We sent four basketball teams to the competition, and the event was filled with remarkable achievements by all our students.
World School Games
The 2025 World School Games in Dubai brought together 21 schools from eight countries across three continents in a thrilling three-day competition. Our young ACS Cobham athletes competed in swimming, football and athletics. The event culminated in an exclusive Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony, where the World Champions of School Sport were crowned. The experience not only celebrated athletic achievements but also fostered friendships and connections with students from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Record-Breaking Performances
Our students achieved extraordinary milestones during the World School Games in Dubai. Every swimmer from ACS Cobham who competed in the swimming heats qualified for the finals - an unprecedented accomplishment. On the track and field, our athletes demonstrated their versatility and skill in events such as high jump, long jump, hurdles, shot put, javelin, and running events. Their performances brought home an impressive array of medals, showcasing their exceptional dedication and talent.

These international events reflect ACS Cobham’s commitment to providing students with opportunities that extend beyond the classroom. By participating in global sporting competitions, students develop resilience, teamwork, and a deep appreciation for cultural diversity. Competing against peers from across the world, they not only hone their athletic abilities but also form friendships and memories that last a lifetime. Whether swimming in Dubai, playing volleyball in Geneva, or shooting hoops in Valencia, our athletes learn to embody the values of sportsmanship, determination, and international unity.
