Students showcased their performance of Footloose at the music festival
A group of Upper School students from ACS Hillingdon recently took part in the Music For Youth festival at the Harrow Arts Centre where they showcased their dazzling performance of Footloose.
After the concert they received feedback and tips from professional musicians and music educators. Our Hillingdon group were told they made an "exemplary performance” and were given tips on how to further grow and develop their talents.
Music For Youth is a national festival comprised of regional events that give children access to high quality music activities. As the largest festival for youth musicians in the UK, Music For Youth attracts over 30,000 musicians per year, with many going on to perform at Music For Youth’s National Festival and Music For Youth Proms.
Our students were given the unique opportunity to be a part of a major nationwide music festival where they were able to interact with other musicians and see the excellent level of performers from their local community. As part of the event, the students received feedback from the mentors, which highlighted not only the positive aspects of their performance, but also the areas they could improve, to enhance future performances and develop their skills further.
