We are expecting and working toward a full return to on-campus learning this autumn.
We are working towards a blended learning model as our students return to school this September and for the remainder of our first semester, in line with Qatari Government legislation.
Like schools around the world, ACS International Schools in the UK and Qatar were closed to on-campus learning for much of the spring 2020 semester. We are mindful of the personal hardships and professional challenges this year has visited on many people. We appreciate so much the resilience, sacrifice and hard work it’s taken to sustain our community through a different and difficult year.
However, ACS faculty and staff joyfully anticipate greeting all of our returning students back in person to our landmark new campus throughout the semester, as well as welcoming hundreds of new families to our extended community.
We are creating the ‘next normal’ together, with appropriate caution, but also with the imagination and determination that makes ACS schools such special places to work and learn. During these uncertain times, we are confident... and ready:
• to stay healthy, safe and well • to learn and teach • to thrive in a digital world • to go outdoors • to move and play • to create and perform • to welcome and care for boarders • to grow and serve • to connect with our community.
We have been working together to develop detailed plans, initial procedures, and division-specific communications to prepare students and their families for opening day from 1 September in Doha.
